Jeff Dunham is a stand-up comedian, puppeteer and improvisationalist best known for his three lifelike and wiseacre puppets Peanut (A furry purple and very flip "woozle" who wears only one sneaker, is a Micronesian and whom Jeff "met" in Florida or Texas, depending on the source), Walter (a cranky elderly man who's been married for forty-seven years) and Jose Jalapeno (a jalapeno on a stick who has a rivalry with Peanut). He also regularly performs with Sweet Daddy Dee - a pimp figure who's Jeff's "manager" - and Bubba - a redneck type who met his wife at a family reunion - as of 2005. Melvin, the Super Hero Guy (a superhero with no real powers but a very large nose) and Achmed The Suicide Bomber (a charred skeleton who's scared of Walter) - have been showing up more frequently as of 2007. Other puppets Jeff's worked with include Larry the Ultimate Sports Fan (also known as Larry, the Palm Beach County Ballot Re-Count Counter), Roadkill (a possum that has been run over by a variety of vehicles), The Monkey, Archie Everett, Judge Lance Ito, Ollie (an Elvis impersonator), a cockroach, and worm at the bottom of a bottle of tequila.

Jeff had a Comedy Central presents special, this led to a one-hour special entitled "Arguing with Myself", which was one of the channel's highest rated programs of all time and sold over 550 million DVDs. His second special "Spark of Insanity" aired on September 23rd of 2007 and proved just as successful. It was followed by a third special, "A Very Special Christmas", which was the most-watched telecast in Comedy Central history. This resulted in an offer for a show from Comedy Central. "The Jeff Dunham Show" debuted On October 22nd, 2009 and airs every Thursday at 9 PM EST. -with assistance from wikipedia.com
