A B O U T

Get Fuzzy is an interntionally-syndicated comic strip written by Darby Conley.

It foccuses on the Wilco family, comprised of Rob, a slightly-geeky but wry advertising drone; Satchel Pooch, his sweet-tempered Shar Pei/yellow lab dog; and Bucky B. Katt, his irrascable, slightly manic siamese cat, who share an appartment in a Boston suburb.

CAST OF CHARACTERS:

* Bucky B. Katt: The tuna-loving, monkey-hating, violence-prone siamese cat, Bucky's arrogant - even when he's not entirely sure of what he's doing. Rob once mentioned that he found Bucky huddled on a trash can, while the cat was only five ounces and a few weeks old, in Hackensack, New Jersey, though there's been several refferences to his mother, Tricky Woo. Joe, Rob's friend, told Bucky that he's named after Negro League legend Buck O'Neil, but Rob's said that the name also reffers to Bucky's prodruding, singular fang (he calls it his "pointy") and his beloved plaything is a tiny toy bear he calls "Smacky". Pretends to be a New York Yankee fan just to cheese Rob off. Hates Fungo Squiggly with a passion.

* Satchel Pooch: Genial, loyal, innocent and good-natured, Satchel is a proud Hufflepuff and Chicago Cubs fan. Rob named him after Satchel Paige, his favorite baseball player. Satchel is a Canadian ( Nova Scotian) by birth, the son of a guard dog, Copernicus. He's a mixed-breed; partially "wrinkle dog" (shar-pei) and golden lab. Satchel's mom loves him without reservation, but his father's ashamed of his son's choice to become a housepet. Satchel's favorite posession is his wristwatch, "Handy," which was replaced with the digital "Beepy" (or dingy) which he recieved as a Christmas gift from Rob.

* Rob Wilco: the owner of Bucky and Satchel, Rob is a slightly-geeky, balding rugby obsessee who works in advertising. He's a Boston Red Sox fan and a New Zeland All Blacks follower, and a professed vegetarian. Rob's the son of retired firefighter Francis Wilco, has an older brother Roger, and is named after two friends of Conley's graduating class at Doyle High School (now South-Doyle High School) in Knoxville, Tennessee.

* Joe Doman: Rob's african-american co-worker and friend, who has a self-procclaimed "weird fascination" with Bucky. Recently moved to France.

* Fungo Squiggly: Bucky's nemesis, a neighboring ferret. Bucky's frequent scrapes with him (which have taken them everywhere from the allyway to Judge Judy's courtroom) result frequently with Bucky holding the losing end of the stick.

* Francis Wilco: Rob's father; an ex-firefighter who tries to deal with his time with Bucky in the least painful way possible.

*Mrs. Wilco: Rob and Roger's mother, who doesn't have a first name yet in the strip's continuity. Is a vegan with a militantly non-vegan cat named Buttercup. Cheerful and somewhat solicitous of her son.

*William: Rob's cousin, who lost a leg in the Iraq War conflict.

*Todd: Rob's superior at the agency.

* Chubby Huggs: Rotund cat who believes that every arguement can be solved with a big hug.
