A B O U T

Couch gags are a coloquial term for short scenes at the tail end of the opening credits of each episode of "The Simpsons". Most feature Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie running into the Simpsons' living room after their busy days and rushing to the couch to settle in front of their TV set; quite a few misshaps occur that prevent the family from reaching their goal - such as Santa's Little Helper claiming the couch as his own and growling, or Homer locking his keys in the house.

Lately, the gags have gotten even more creative, paying tribute to B-grade horror films, Disney's "Fantasia" and 2001 a Space Oddssey.

We don't have that much in the way of rules to follow here; just follow these simple notions and you should be fine.

  • You've got to be a fan of the Simpsons' Couch Gags, in some aspect or another. Otherwise, why would you want to be part of this listing?
